What does a book coach do?

As your writing coach, I will work with you on a one-on-one basis. We’ll start with an assessment of your current skills and goals, after which I’ll suggest a learning plan that we might follow to help you reach those goals. I offer encouragement, and help you chart your course to success.

Who needs a book coach?

As a published author, I continue to work with coaches. Just as a dentist needs other dentists, so, too, do writers need other writers for encouragement, accountability, and an extra set of eyes on the work.

Whether you’re just getting started on your first story or you’ve written several books and want to up your game, I can help. I’ve been a professional freelance writer for over 40 years. My first four books were traditionally published: two for children and two nonfiction for adults. A memoir will be self-published in the Fall of 2024. so I have experience with many aspects of publication.

When should I hire a writing coach?

Regardless of where you are in your writing journey, a writing coach can help you improve.
